EPIC ACHIEVERS

With the 75 Challenge covering such a wide range of activities across so many varied conditions and environments it is hard to award prizes for physical achievement. However, we wanted to ensure we gave you a little encouragement to dig deep,  push yourselves and make your 75 count!

The TRULY EPIC Awards will be given to the top three EPIC individuals who raise the most funds for wildlife conservation (must include at least one Zambian based entry).

Simply EPIC will be awarded to the most compelling story of your 75 Challenge

EPIC Extreme will be awarded to the individual who has had to overcome the most challenging situation to complete their 75 Challenge

Spirit of the EPIC will be awarded to the individual who is nominated for or demonstrates the most support to others throughout their 75 Challenge

5 years in the Saddle is awarded tor anyone who has completed five Elephant EPIC MTB events in Zambia – for 2020 if you complete the EPIC course as part of your 75 Challenge it will count towards this award.

N.B. GRI and the Elephant EPIC take no responsibility for anyone attempting to cycle the EPIC route outside of the hosted event.

The TRULY EPIC Awards

The Top Prize will go to the individual who raises the most funds for wildlife and will be a tailored made Safari holiday in Zambia to include a two night stay for two people at each of the following:

Your Zambian Safari experience starts at Lilayi Lodge, Lusaka. Enjoy our luxurious accommodation, fine dining and unique game viewing experience in this tranquil setting. During your stay here you will also take part in a behind the scenes tour of the GRI Lilayi Elephant Nursery to meet the team who care for the youngest elephant orphans as they begin their journey of rehabilitation.

 

Baines River Camp, is a luxury safari lodge located on the banks of the famous Zambezi River with traversing rights over 4,000 square kilometres of the Lower Zambezi National Park and adjacent wildlife areas offering the finest game-viewing, birding and angling available anywhere on the lower Zambezi. During your stay you will be treated to a behind the scenes tour of the CLZ Basecamp, nestled along the river. Here you will meet the team who support DNPW operations in the area and host an Environmental Education Program, a Detection and Tracking Dog Unit and Rapid Response Unit.

KaingU Safari Lodge, is set in an area of pristine wilderness and offers a magnificent safari experience in the heart of the African bush. The individual who raises the second highest funds for wildlife will receive a complimentary mini-safari in Zambia to include:

Two nights for four people at Latitude 15°, a stunning hotel set amidst the beautiful tree-lined avenues on the south-east corner of Lusaka, 20 minutes to the city centre blending modern Africa, with a cosmopolitan twist. During your stay in Lusaka you will also get to take part in a behind the scenes tour of the GRI Lilayi Elephant Nursery to meet the team who care for the youngest elephant orphans as they begin their journey of rehabilitation.

A three-night experience for four people at Mwambashi River Lodge which lies along a wild and remote stretch of the Zambezi River, in the heart of Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park. This beautiful lodge, its classic safari tents and suites raised on platforms, peers out across the waters beneath a grove of towering winterthorn trees. As part of your time in this area you will be treated to a behind the scenes tour of the CLZ Basecamp, nestled along the river. Here you will meet the team who support DNPW operations in the area and host an Environmental Education Program, a Detection and Tracking Dog Unit and a Rapid Response Unit.

Whilst staying in the area, you will have an opportunity to be treated to a behind the scenes tour of CLZ Basecamp, nestled along the river. Here you will meet the team who support DNPW operations in the area and host an Environmental Education Program, a Detection and Tracking Dog Unit and a Rapid Response Unit.

When passing through Lusaka you will also get to take part in a behind the scenes tour of the GRI Lilayi Elephant Nursery to meet the team who care for the youngest elephant orphans as they begin their journey of rehabilitation.
