About

Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY), accredited by the New York State Education Department and the Middle States Association. TC3 recognizes that skills learned here must be applied successfully around the world. Many of our 34 degree programs prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university.

We are a small, friendly college in a safe rural location ideal for study and getting to know the "real" United States. At the same time, the college is located in a culturally diverse community in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Our neighbors include Cornell University, known worldwide as a leading research institution; Ithaca College, one of the best private colleges in the United States; and SUNY Cortland, a sister institution in the State University system. Some of these degrees transfer to the third and fourth year of bachelor degrees at universities and colleges (Computer Science, Business Administration, and Early Childhood Education.) Courses may be offered in day, evening or weekend formats and are taught by highly skilled faculty, who hold master's, doctorates and professional degrees. Almost one-third of the faculty hold doctorate degrees and all professional-technical faculty have industry experience.

Their presence shapes the community as progressive, diverse, and culturally rich. TC3 has a long tradition of receiving international students: Of our full-time equivalent student body of around 3,200 students, nearly 10% come from over 60 different countries.

Academic Programs

Among the personalized services we offer our students are: Free airport pick-up, free tutoring is available for all students on our campus, host family and housing assistance, and attention to your personal needs to help you feel at home.
