THE ELEPHANT EPIC MTB WINNERS!
The Elephant EPIC MTB 2021 saw 134 riders complete a gruelling 73.5km kilometres from Lusaka to Lower Zambezi. The riders were EPIC, but so were the support teams and our EPIC partners.

SPECIAL AWARDS

EPIC RIDE! LEWIS MATENDE

Lewis totally committed to the Elephant EPIC and completed the entire race on a BMX! He finished 43rd in 3h21!

SPIRIT OF THE RIDE RAFIK ISSA

Not a rider but driver of the sweeper vehicle who worked persistently to repair Ken Bowkers broken bike. Ken was ready to retire from the race but Raifk, kept going and got him back on track!

Ken Bowker also deserves a special mention as he pushed not only his own (broken) bike up the Mother, but also that of Lee-Ann Singh!

He then went on to finish 116th in 4h49!

SPECIAL MENTIONS

YOUNGEST EPIC RIDER! LIAM GREEN

Liam, at age 12, our youngest ever rider, completed the ride with his Dad in 03hr 57mins.

OLDEST EPIC RIDER! DAVID STORER

David, age 68, completed the EPIC in 05hrs 55 mins

Ken Bowker also deserves a special mention as he pushed not only his own (broken) bike up the Mother, but also that of Lee-Ann Singh!

He then went on to finish 116th in 4h49!
