Every year, GRI hosts a number of events in and around Lusaka to raise funds and awareness for wildlife conservation. We are also incredibly fortunate to benefit from a huge variety of fundraising events hosted by so many of our generous supporters around the world.

END OF IVORY - THE ART OF SURVIVAL
David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is delighted to bring a new world class art exhibition to Los Angeles this October. ‘End of Ivory‘ The Art of Survival exhibition is a powerfully curated 3 day show featuring thought-provoking work that celebrates elephants as sentient beings but also highlights their desperate plight today.
Drawing on DSWF’s rich art and conservation heritage, we are honoured to partner with our dedicated and internationally renowned Wildlife Art Ambassadors – Emily Lamb, Mandy Shepherd, David Filer, James Kydd and Simon Max Bannister – whose mission is to raise awareness and funds to save endangered species through highly visual and emotive media. Provocative paintings, sculptures and photographs created by our Art Ambassadors will be on display and available for sale at Christie’s Los Angeles from Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 October 2019, with a percentage of all sales going directly to DSWF to fund key conservation work!
THE ELEPHANT EPIC
The Elephant Epic is an annual mountain bike race from Lusaka to the Lower Zambezi, which aims to raise funds for wildlife conservation. The race follows a rugged and beautiful route from Lusaka to the Lower Zambezi down the escarpment, covering a distance of approximately 75 km. Long enough to be a challenge, yet short enough to attract riders of wide ranging abilities, the route showcases the remote and beautiful Zambian scenery.
