There are many ways you can contribute towards our causes, and every little bit that you commit goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission. VISIT
The Lilayi Elephant Nursery is open daily from 11:30 -13:00. Visitors have the opportunity to meet the Keepers and view the orphaned elephants as they enjoy their lunchtime bottles and mud baths. Please note that as the elephants will ultimately be released into the wild, we have a strict no-contact policy.
We do not currently offer any accommodation or catering facilities. However, the Nursery is on the grounds of the spectacular Lilayi Lodge, where visitors can enjoy lunch, the pool, a game drive or book on to an exclusive “Behind the Scenes Tour” of the Nursery – a unique opportunity to help make up the milk bottles and walk out into the bush with the elephants. VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is one of the simplest ways to support our cause. GRI Volunteers contribute to the overall sustainablity of the organisation; help build the capacity of Rangers and Local Communities and contribute to global awareness of our conservation efforts.
