Kakaro came from a special place in the East of Zambia where the Luangwa River meets with the mighty Zambezi River. When his mother was attacked by poachers for her tusks, Kakaro had to flee. He bravely took to the river and swam to safety on a nearby island.
When he was finally found by some passing fishermen, they noticed his poor tail had been bitten off, most likely by a crocodile. Your Kakaro toy in brave, bold stripes has only a small tail left, reminding you of his brave endeavours.
The Little Ndaba Orphaned Elephant collection have been carefully hand made by women in Zambia. Your purchase contributes to their empowerment and ability to take care of themselves and their children.
